‘The Boy Named If’ is de titel van het aankomende album van Elvis Costello & The Imposters. Eerder verschenen er al meerdere EP’s van zijn hand, waaronder het Franstalige ‘La Face de Pendule a Coucou’, waarop ook Iggy Pop te horen is. ‘The Boy Named If’ wordt voor de Engelsman weer de eerste samenwerking met The Imposters sinds de single ‘Purse’ uit 2019. Met de nummers op het album, dat geproduceerd werd door Sebastian Krys en de zanger zelf, vangt Costello verhalen in dertien snapshots.
